A Polish-Israeli agreement on the protection of Israeli travel will be signed; I hope that the agents of the Israeli security services who move with weapons in Kazimierz in Krakow or Muranów in Warsaw will go down in history, Presidential Minister Marcin Przydacz announced.
A Polish-Israeli agreement will be signed regarding youth travel, especially regarding the security issue associated with the Israeli travel
The presidential minister announced this on RMF FM on Tuesday.
When questioned, he confirmed that the agreement stipulated that bodyguards with visible weapons would not accompany Israeli trips.
This is how this agreement is envisioned so that the presence of Israeli security agents with guns does not cause unhealthy emotions around these trips
– added.
“We want to send a positive message to Israeli youth.”
He stressed that protection will be provided if necessary, but that the Polish side will be responsible for it.
We want to send a positive message to Israeli youth so that Poland is associated with a place where it is safe and peaceful
he said.
I hope that Israeli security agents moving with guns around Kazimierz in Krakow or Muranów in Warsaw will make history. Now these trips will be carried out safely, but without such provocative steps
said Przydacz.
Visit of the head of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Poland
On Wednesday, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen will visit Poland; will meet with the head of Polish diplomacy Zbigniew Rau.
In mid-June last year, the Israeli Ministry of Education announced the cancellation of educational trips to Poland for high school students. The ministry justified its decision on the grounds that problems had arisen that prevented students from being properly and safely informed on the road. As reported by the Polish Foreign Ministry, a return to the previous rules for travel by Jewish youth with the participation of armed Israeli services is not possible. Last week, the Ministry of Diplomacy announced that as part of negotiations between the Polish and Israeli governments, a preliminary agreement has been reached on a cooperation agreement regarding study visits by organized youth groups.
