Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said Serbian authorities do not accept the recognition of Kosovo through an agreement between the parties, mediated by Brussels and Washington. transmits TASS. According to him, this is not mentioned in the agreements between Belgrade and Pristina.
“This agreement is very important, it is part of our 10 years of invested efforts to normalize our relations with Pristina, nothing more. Dacic said there is no recognition, no consent beyond our “red lines”.
As the head of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out, the agreement refers to the different positions of Belgrade and Pristina on the Kosovo issue. He also added that the parties only agreed to normalize their relations.
“If the parties evaluate the status differently, what kind of act of recognition? Our “red lines” are mutual recognition, rejection of recognition of Kosovo, renunciation of Kosovo’s membership in the UN. “This is an agreement on the normalization of relations, not about status issues,” he said.
As previously reported, the European Union promise Serbia and Kosovo investments for normalization of relations.
