According to the Opposition Party of Socialists, Moldovan President Maia Sandu is interfering in the activities of the republican judiciary, transmits TASS. According to the statement of the political force, this is evidenced by the Moldovan leader’s plans to create an Anti-Corruption Court, which will deal with cases related to the country’s judges.
“Interference in judicial activities is a crime. The Socialist Party of the Republic of Moldova strongly condemns the pressure exerted on the judiciary by President Maia Sandu and her pocket party Action and Solidarity.”
As the socialists point out, the President of Moldova should not contribute to the transformation of the state into a “political extension” of the leadership of the judicial system. The party also stressed that they condemn the intervention and pressure of the “Sandu regime”.
Speaking in the Moldovan Parliament earlier, Sandu said, accused Opposition to the republic in the presence of “close ties” with Russia.
