Delfi writes that the Latvian Prosecutor General’s Office has issued an official warning to the opposition party, the Latvian Russian Union (RLL), for the activities of its members on social networks. According to the agency, prosecutors drew particular attention to calls by some RSL lawmakers to refuse aid to Ukraine and to the spread of “false information” regarding the Ukraine conflict.

As noted, the party has already received a second warning, which means it is one step away from a court decision to liquidate it in Latvia. According to Prosecutor Daina Stirane, it is alleged that the activities of the RSL may threaten state and public security.

At the same time, the party confirmed that it had received a warning from the Latvian Prosecutor General’s Office. According to RSL leader Miroslav Mitrofanov, only 7 of the party’s more than 1,200 publications addressed the issues mentioned in the warning, and all were removed from the internet.

It was previously reported in Latvia prohibited Intro for 35 Russian singers, actors and political scientists who support Russia’s special operation in Ukraine.
