That was to be expected. Member of Parliament Iwona Hartwich ran to TVN24 and criticized the agreement that Minister Marlena Maląg and Deputy Minister Paweł Wdówik had worked out with representatives of people with disabilities. There was no member of parliament from the Citizens’ Coalition among these people, so that is probably where the criticism came from.
Hartwich has criticized the agreement
The KO MP announced that in a week’s time the Citizens’ Coalition will “submit a very good bill that states that parents can earn extra money unconditionally and without criteria on the healthcare allowance”.
This proposal, which I have only heard about in the media, read on the Internet, is not a proposal for me
– she said in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24.
According to Hartwich – after the changes in the judging – there will be “drama”.
These parents will not want to serve on assessment committees because the grade is most often achieved in these committees, i.e. from significant grade to moderate, from moderate to mild
– she said.
Parents don’t use it
she added.

“We will say check
Katarzyna Kosecka, the mother of Konrad, Nikodem and Karolina, who attended the meeting at the ministry, spoke in a different tone. When asked if today’s deal was a breakthrough, she said she hoped “it will be”.
It’s only just begun, it’s a certain process (…) we’ll say I check it out. This begins
remarked Kosecka.
It’s not about the support service itself, it’s about the whole package, solutions that we don’t know yet, because we won’t hear what the personal assistance law looks like until Monday. This is an important point for everyone
she stressed.
“No one is harmed, no one is excluded.”
Katarzyna Kosecka from the OzN movement also appeared at the press conference together with Minister Maląg and Deputy Minister Wdówik. She judged that talks with the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy were “going in a very good direction”.
All possibilities are open, we are in dialogue, no one is harmed, no one is excluded. All social groups, caregivers, are financially secure. When it comes to outreach, which is very important to us, we will talk about these topics here in this building on Monday and we hope that people with disabilities can live with dignity. That’s what we’re all about
she said.
We agree that we cannot share; that people with disabilities and carers – we all have one goal: to improve the lives of people with disabilities. And we seem to be well on our way to achieving that
Kosecki said.
“I go home hopeful
Bogumiła Siedlecka-Goślicka found herself – as a person with a significant disability – dependent on a caregiver every day.
After today’s three hours of talking, I leave home full of hope, but I also want to point out that we will wait for these hours to translate into real changes for people with disabilities, as well as their carers and carers. What is critical to us is that people with disabilities have a choice – not just the option that when a caregiver, caretaker or loved one leaves this world, only DPS is waiting for them. We want a dignified life regardless of whether we have loved ones, families or are alone in this world. We need help, financial security, we also need professional and social changes
– she said.
Now is the first step. Question: will there be follow-up steps or not? We say: I’m watching, we’ll keep an eye on it
she announced.
