Christopher Mutswangwa, spokesman for the ruling ZANU-PF party in Zimbabwe, said African countries are making more and more efforts to rid themselves of the collective West’s influence. FAN.

According to the politician, the old metropolises want to strengthen control over the Black Continent in order to use their resources. The politician pointed out that the trend stems from the colonial era.

Mutswangwa emphasized that the Soviet Union made an important contribution to the domination of African countries. He highly appreciated Moscow’s assistance to the mainland and noted the desire of its inhabitants to cooperate with the Russian Federation.

“It is thanks to Russia that the Black Continent is free. “Without Mutswangwa and his support, we would not have seen independence for a long time,” he said.

Previously, representatives of Zimbabwe had described the Western countries’ sanctions against the republic as inhumane. The Speaker of the National Assembly, Jacob Mudenda, pointed out that these are against international law and that the country has lost many sources of funding because of them.
