“This is how these conversations should be. Easter is coming, and it’s a good time to raise hopes and think about the future. This is a good time to talk about Poland, to listen to you. We always came , in every campaign, talking to you. That’s how the PiS program was born. I remember all our campaigns. I remember 2015, when the spirit of Poland was awakened under the white and red flag, how hope was awakened among the Poles , said former Prime Minister, MEP Beata Szydło in Sandomierz.
A worthy representation of the interests of Poland and Poland
You could say eight years is a long time. What was that time like? What have we done? What are the plans? That’s what we’re going to talk about. We want to ask you what’s important. How do you live?
asked the MEP.
The fact that Poland is developing in this way and is safe is thanks to the Poles. Big round of applause for all Poles. I did not come here today as an important politician from Warsaw. I am here today as one of you, because it was you who trusted me, entrusted me with your affairs, the affairs of Poland in the elections to the European Parliament. As a member of the European Parliament, I am one of the citizens of Świętokrzyskie and Lesser Poland, but it is my duty to fight for all of Poland. Treat me like this – I’m one of you. I want to talk honestly, because Poland needs such a conversation. We are different and that is natural, but you have to respect and listen to each other. This way you can draw up a good program. Just like in a family: when we plan something, want to achieve something, we sit down at the table and talk about it. Let’s sit down at this table. (…) We ask Poles who come to different meetings in different places, if there are no white and red flags, ask. Today, from the perspective of my work in the EP, I see how important it is to always be on the side of Polish affairs. Because not all parliamentarians elected in Poland represent such an attitude. I am not ashamed to speak Polish in the EP, and you know there is an MEP who said she was ashamed to hear Polish in the EP
emphasized the former prime minister.
I am not ashamed to defend Poland when it is attacked. It was with great embarrassment and sadness that I saw a photo of three former Polish prime ministers standing in front of an exhibition organized by a parliamentarian elected to the EP from the PO. An exhibition that touches the Polish services that defended our borders against Putin’s hybrid attacks. Such an exhibition was organized by the Platform community. These three prime ministers entered the EP through PO lists. I say this because we must be aware that our elections – to the Polish Parliament and the EP – will determine whether Poland will have strong representation, whether Polish interests will be defended and whether it will be a parliament that will take care of your business. represent
– said Beata Szydlo.
Restore dignity
I remember 2015, meetings. I traveled up and down Poland. Poles came and there was a sense of doubt, lack of hope. People talked about how hard it was for them to live – especially where the PO decided to collapse Poland. Communications, checkpoints and post offices were liquidated. I remember a meeting in a town where a state farm used to be. A lady said she had no prospects for her children. There are no resources to think about child development. I remember the meeting in Szydłowiec – the highest unemployment under PO-PSL rule. One of the ladies said that she kept hearing on TV that Poland is a green island, that there is a large GNP, but that she will not cook dinner with this GNP. How to live if there is no work? Retirees asked if they should buy a prescription or pay bills. A lot of young people left Poland – there were a lot of these problems, human problems. There was a flood in Mazovia, people trembled in front of their houses. When I spoke to them, they said they felt like no one was interested in them. A few months ago I met the mayor of this municipality – the dikes were almost ready. We have translated these conversations into our program. President Andrzej Duda became president, we won in the fall – I have three days to prepare a statement. It was created with the help of my colleagues who were in government with me. I’m talking about programs – about 500 plus. This is a program often attacked by PO and their experts, and this program has restored the dignity of Polish families. And that was his biggest goal. this program gave all parents and children the feeling that there are no worse or better children, that everyone should have equal opportunities. When I spoke about it in the Sejm, I said the program would be implemented in 100 days, Minister Rafalska said it was very little time. I said, “Ela, we’ll be fine. And we made it
said the former prime minister.
Then we made further reforms. PO, Tusk, raised the retirement age despite announcing they won’t. The main PO politicians – Komorowski, Tusk – swore they wouldn’t, and as soon as the polls closed, the retirement age was very quickly raised to 67. For women up to 7 years old. But let’s not absolve PSL of this responsibility. Today when I hear statements from PO politicians that after the elections, if they win, they will not take away any social programs, I do not believe them
– emphasized Beata Szydło.
The PiS government has delivered what it committed to for 8 years. What he talked about in the 2015 campaign, in 2019. The president said his first initiative would be to lower the retirement age. This is also educational innovation. Parents asked us to give them the choice of whether children go to school at the age of 6 or 7. The Polish school has changed, parents have a decisive role in fundamental matters for their child. This is who we are – there is nothing more important to us than freedom and sovereignty. And this civil liberty should consist of everyone feeling safe, living with dignity and feeling that the state is on their side
added the former prime minister.
Poles host the Polish House
Today when I listen to PO politicians, Tusk, who will put us in jail, I will tell Donald Tusk that I am not afraid of him and these announcements, because I have worked honestly and diligently all my life. And once I stood resolutely against the entire European Council. I had this courage when he was about to be re-elected as head of RE. I said no, there were 27 EU leaders against me. Do you remember the hysteria caused by the opposition losing Szydło, Szydło discredited himself. As Prime Minister of Poland, I could not make any other decision. I will never agree to Poland being represented in important positions by someone who does not defend Poland’s interests. Who agrees that Poland should be attacked if it has the causal power and can prevent it. That was the time
– Beata Szydło recalled.
I won’t talk about Tusk because there really isn’t anything to talk about and I don’t have time to talk about it. I prefer to talk about your business, because you are the heroes of this story. You may be wondering why you should vote for us? Why should you trust us again? Why us? We have our mistakes and we have made many mistakes. We thought that some things could be done faster, differently. Sometimes reflection was necessary. But when you run a country, you need wise advisers, experts, honest politicians – people who want to support these politicians. You support us when we represent you as our employers. Not a single party. You are our employers. It’s election time. More plans and projects. If you are renovating a house, after finishing the kitchen it turns out that something needs to be done in the bathroom, then something is wrong with the roof – it’s the same in the country. I want you to be the hosts in our Polish home, and we will do what you ask of us
– said Beata Szydlo.
Why should you choose us? trust us? For them, for PO, Poland is an ugly young lady. To us she is a beautiful, smart, proud woman. For them, Poland is this country, for us – our common home, homeland, all of you. Polishness is abnormal for them. Poland is the future for us. we will win! We can do it!
– stressed the MEP.
