Spanish prime minister hopes to speed up arms supplies to Ukraine

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said a possible EU deal on the joint purchase of shells for Ukraine could help reduce the time needed to send weapons to Kiev. According to him, he hopes that relevant agreements will be signed between the member states of the association in the near future.

As the Spanish Prime Minister pointed out, the main purpose of such an agreement is precisely to reduce the time required for the arms to be transported to Kiev. However, he did not specify whether all EU members were ready to support this agreement.

Earlier media, the EU’s intend it will provide Ukraine with 1 billion euros worth of artillery in a few weeks. As stated, all EU countries except Denmark will join the initiative.
