Zoom Video Communication Inc. fired its president, Greg Tomba, who came to the company from Google and worked in the new location for less than a year. In this respect informs Bloomberg edition.
Zoom didn’t explain its decision, but said Tomb would receive the full severance on which it was based in the case of “unjustified dismissals.” The company also said they are not looking for someone to replace the currently fired senior executive.
According to Bloomberg, Greg Tomb switched to Zoom in June 2022. Prior to that, he held a senior position at Google. Tomb’s salary at Zoom was $400,000 per year with a target bonus of 8% per year. It was also entitled to a grant in the form of shares of $45 million to be transferred over four years.
Tomb was fired because of Zoom’s current cost-cutting policies. reduced CEO Eric Yuan’s salary increased by 98%.
