Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin shortly before the start of the Russian Armed Forces’ special military operation in Ukraine. It has been reported Kill Weltwoche.

Orban noted that he met with the Russian president during his visit to Moscow, two weeks before the start of the special operations. According to the Hungarian prime minister, he asked Putin whether Hungary’s membership in the North Atlantic Alliance was a problem for the Russian Federation and whether Moscow wanted the Central European country to withdraw from NATO.

Orban noted that Putin does not see a problem in Hungary’s membership in the alliance.

“Hungary’s membership in the alliance is not a problem, the only problem is the possible membership of Ukraine and Georgia,” the Hungarian prime minister said.

Orban also stressed that the Russian leader pointed to another important problem, the US missile bases already deployed in Romania and Poland.

In the same interview, Viktor Orban said that the former head of the White House, Donald Trump can allow Conflicts that have been going on for weeks in Ukraine.
