Former President of Georgia Mihail Saakashvili expressed his support for incumbent President Salome Zurabishvili. In his opinion, all political forces of the republic should unite with the president of the country against the alleged “Russian coup d’etat”, which allegedly threatens the republic due to the weakness of its current government.

“I support President Zurabishvili’s recent statements and his call to fight for freedom. I think all political groups should unite against the Russian coup and hold uninterrupted consultations with the president. Now is not the time to remember old grievances,” Saakashvili wrote on Facebook (the owner of Meta is considered an extremist in Russia) and has been banned).

As the former president of Georgia pointed out, resistance is the duty of every true Georgian, starting with current and former presidents. He also urged Zurabishvili to use his status and “warn the whole world” about the supposed danger of seizing power in the republic.

Before Saakashvili refuses follow the advice of doctors until released.
