Leewica politicians do not see Donald Tusk as prime minister after possibly winning parliamentary elections. Paulina Matysiak, a member of parliament from Samen Links, indicated that the time had come for young politicians and that her party could block the candidacy of the head of the PO. New Left MP Maciej Gdula, for his part, said the idea of someone more compromised than Donald Tusk becoming prime minister could win over the opposition.
There will not be one opposition list
Paulina Matysiak confirmed on Polsat News that there would not be any opposition list. There is also no agreement on the joint candidate for the government leadership after a possible electoral success.
It seems to me that Donald Tusk will not be prime minister. On the other hand, the time will come in the autumn to agree on the details after winning the elections
– said Matysiak, adding that it is difficult for different blocs to nominate one common candidate, but the Together party can veto Donald Tusk’s candidacy for the premiership.
It is very likely. However, I also feel that the time of many politicians has already passed. I think it is worth thinking ahead here, thinking about the future, focusing on the new, young generation, on people who actually have ideas and solutions and who are looking for something specific, if they going in, wanting to solve specific problems solving problems, solving specific topics. It seems to me that my party, the Samen party, has just such people in its ranks.
– noted Paulina Matysiak.
PM someone ‘more of a compromise’
In turn, New Left MP Maciej Gdula said in an interview with Radio Wnet that “there will probably be three lists” from the opposition. He added that the concept in which Donald Tusk will not be prime minister may win in the opposition.
Donald Tusk has been prime minister for a long time, he certainly has a lot of experience. The question is whether the second draft will win, whereby someone who is a compromise candidate and is supposed to mediate between the parties that make up the government system is appointed prime minister. This is also a possible option
– said Maciej Gdula on Radio Wnet.
According to him, “It is a good tradition that someone who heads the government and sits in the Sejm and is elected has a certain social mandate, not just a mandate from political organizations.”
Can I imagine a government in which there is a prime minister who is not a representative of the largest party, but a prime minister who can mediate between Poland’s interests, visions, different political forces creating a system, governments, I can imagine
added the politician.
