Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, and his first deputy, Dmitry Polyansky, left the meeting of the world organization’s Security Council for Ukraine before the speech of a number of representatives from the European Union. DEA News.
Speaking at the meeting, Nebenzya pointed out that an unprecedented number of delegations were invited to attend. In particular, he pointed to the twelve EU countries participating in the discussion, in addition to the head of Eurodiplomacy, Josep Borrell.
“It is clear that all these countries speaking from a single all-Soviet position dictated by Brussels will not bring any “added value” to the discussion,” Nebenzya said.
In his view, such an approach devalues the debate and discredits the Security Council.
After the departure of the Russian representatives, Borrell and representatives from Slovakia and Romania attended the meeting. Performances of Poland, Hungary, Germany, Latvia, Moldova, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic and others are planned.
As part of the Nebenzya speech declarationUkraine would have liberated Donbass if it had not gone to war with it.
