President Andrzej Duda decided to convene the National Security Council, said Marcin Przydacz, head of the president’s Office of International Policy.
The subject of the SCN meeting is the security situation in the region in the context of recent diplomatic events, including the visit of the US President and the B9 summit

He added that the Council meeting is scheduled for February 24. This is the first anniversary of the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

National Security Council is an advisory body to the President of the Republic of Poland in matters of state internal and external security. It consists of: the Marshals of the Sejm and the Senate, the Prime Minister, the Head of the Ministry of National Defence, the Head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Minister secret service coordinates services, the heads of parliamentary or deputy club groups (or the presidents of these clubs), the head of the president’s office and the head of the National Security Bureau. The meetings of the Board are convened by the chairman, at the same time stating the subjects.
