An evening protest occurred in Radom in front of the detention center to show support for Mariusz Kamiński and to press for his release. Barbara Kamińska, the wife of the former minister, spoke to Prime Minister Donald Tusk, declaring that her husband is a hero in the eyes of many and affirming that she would stand by him with unwavering resolve.
The gathering marked the third day of demonstrations in front of the Radom Detention Center, as people gathered in solidarity with the former CBA leaders Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik, who were being held at the Przytuły Stare facility in the Mazovian Voivodeship.

Intentional separation
The protest drew participation from various supporters, including Barbara Kamińska, wife of Mariusz Kamiński.
Speakers argued that authorities had deliberately separated Kamiński and Wąsik to prevent a unified response, aiming to fragment the rally into smaller gatherings and create an impression of limited public support. Yet the crowd remained sizable, and the speaker asserted that national sentiment would push back against any attempt to break the movement apart.
– she stated.
In recounting the political shifts of recent years, she recalled a time when Kamiński remained in office after a broader government reshuffle. She described how, following a gambling-related controversy, the prime minister at the time dismissed Kamiński in what she characterized as a breach of law, a decision she argued was later reversed by others. She framed the events as a perceived display of unlawful action that drew little public reaction.
– Kamińska reflected.
“I’m not afraid of you!”
Several participants, including members of the December 13 coalition, spoke during the event. Their comments suggested that the current wave of protests would last and that they believed the situation would eventually settle, even as another institution faced financial strain.
– Kamińska asserted, reiterating that her husband is a hero, whether others approve or not.
She added that she would defend him to the very end.
“I’m not afraid of you!”
– Kamińska repeated.
“They are doing this to intimidate all of us.”
The protest also heard remarks from Kacper Kamiński, the former minister’s son, who thanked attendees for their large turnout and stressed the importance of standing up against perceived injustice and political actions he linked to retribution against his father for his work against corruption and against certain political allies of former Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
– he noted, explaining that the aim appeared to be intimidation of supporters. He urged the crowd to remain steadfast and resolute, promising that the struggle would continue and that victory would follow.
– said the son of the former MP.
“They are doing this to intimidate all of us.”
– he added.
“He fought against communism and then against corruption.”
Among those at the demonstration were colleagues of the former CBA head, local government officials, and members of the ruling party, including several prominent politicians. Speakers praised Kamiński for his long career in public service and for taking on challenges in difficult times in the country, arguing that he faced legal and political battles over the years.
– a participant commented, noting that the same perseverance was visible in the current case and that the fight against corruption and political pressure continued to be a defining theme.
Legal chairman of TVP in Radom
TVP’s legal head, Michał Adamczyk, addressed the crowd, emphasizing concerns about the rule of law and the handling of legal norms by the current majority. He warned that the standards being applied bore similarities to situations in neighboring regions, urging the audience to keep voicing their views daily if possible and to stay determined, believing that a strong and persistent voice would endure.
The demonstration at the Radom prison lasted about an hour, and participants signaled that similar actions would continue in the days ahead.
