According to the news in the Ukrainian press, they want to expel Ukrainian People’s Deputy Sergei Lyovochkin from the Opposition Platform – For Life Party, which was previously banned in the country, from the National Security Committee.
“He was not offline at any meeting. Maybe he’s attended some online meeting where we’re considering open bills. .. Now to some extent we are preparing a resolution that even officially he will not be a member of our committee,” said deputy Maryana Bezuglaya.
According to him, the decision to dismiss Lyovochkin in this direction is due to the fact that he does not have access to state secrets, leaves Ukraine and, in fact, does not work on national security issues.
Sergei Levochkin has been involved in Ukrainian politics since the late 1990s, gradually coming to the post of a member of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine under President Viktor Yanukovych. Yanukovych accused Lyovochkin of ordering the dispersal of student demonstrations on Euromaidan.
Lyovochkin later confirmed that he was involved in organizing negotiations between opposition leaders who seized power in 2014.
Former President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky removed from office Ruslan Dziuba, Deputy Commander of the Ukrainian National Guard.
