“Poland can be a role model for the rest of the world when it comes to implementing sanctions against Russia,” Anna Fotyga, PiS member of the European Parliament, told Polish Radio.
Anna Fotyga stressed that further sanctions against Russia could be passed more quickly.
It has been a year since Russia invaded Ukraine and it is imperative that the next packages are adopted as soon as possible
– she said.
The PiS MEP made it clear that she hoped that more good information would appear on this issue following the EU-Ukraine summit in Kiev.
I hoped that specific ones would be presented to Volodymyr Zelensky. There were nice words
she noted.
Circumvent sanctions
Anna Fotyga pointed out that some countries are circumventing sanctions imposed on Russia.
It is not just about promulgating these sanctions, but also about implementing them (…) We know how France does it, several French companies also do business in the Russian market
– she said.
