After President Joe Biden’s visit to Poland, we expect further strengthening of the US presence in Poland, acceleration of purchases of modern military equipment and reinforcement of NATO’s eastern flank – said Presidential Secretary Marcin Przydacz on TVN24.
The head of the Office of International Policy of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Marcin Przydacz, confirmed in “Rozmowo Piaseckiego” on TVN24 on Monday that US President Joe Biden’s visit to Poland, which he discussed during his visit to Washington last week is expected, but he declined to comment on the details. Also about whether there will be a meeting between Biden and the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Poland.

Poland’s expectations
When asked what the Polish and US sides expected from this visit, he said that “we expect further NATO support, including for Poland, in terms of the US military presence in Poland, and we also expect an acceleration in the procurement of military material.”
The last issue is related to the fact that part of the Polish equipment was transferred to Ukraine and “Ukraine liberated Kharkiv and Kherson with our tanks”.
Today we want to receive and buy equipment that will make up for our shortcomings
said Przydacz.
He added that he meant modern American equipment such as Abrams tanks and Patriot missile batteries.
It is our goal to expedite these procedures as part of the continuation of the deterrence policy. Because no one in Poland wants war, they don’t want to get involved in discussions about war, we want to drive Russia away so that Russia realizes that it is not profitable for Poland to provoke and destabilize the situation in a NATO country anyway.
explained Przydacz.
Poland also expects, he said, “to strengthen the Allied presence on the territory of the eastern flank and to accelerate the actions arising from the Madrid summit, i.e. to accelerate the separation of rapid reaction forces.”
There would be 300,000 rapid reaction troops, who would be rushed to the place of danger, we want the preparation process to be completed as soon as possible
– noted the presidential minister.
What is the United States counting on?
In turn, American expectations for this visit are, as he said, the will to deliver a “message to the world about his leadership.”
I think they will talk about what else they plan to do for the eastern flank and for Ukraine
said Przydacz.
Last Friday Marcin Przydacz visited the US together with the head of the National Security Bureau, Jacek Siewiera. The talks held there included further aid to Ukraine, the continued presence of US troops in Poland, technology transfers and arms purchases, as well as the Alliance Summit in Vilnius. At the White House, Przydacz and Siewiera also spoke with advisers to the presidents of the Baltic States.
At the start of the week, US President Joe Biden confirmed he would be visiting Poland, though he added he did not know when.
