Maliki emphasized that the Palestinian government takes the issue of recognizing independence very seriously and expects the number of states that recognize Palestine to reach 155 this year.
The diplomat added that at the moment the Palestinian authorities are working with one country in Africa and another in the Americas, where they are working on the recognition of the independence of the State of Palestine. Maliki added that studies on this issue continue with 7-8 countries in Western Europe.
