Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjarto said that Budapest plans to approve Finland and Sweden’s accession to NATO at a parliamentary meeting in February. He announced this at a press conference with his Turkish counterpart, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. TASS.
He said the approval of the documents would be considered “when the Hungarian parliament meets again in February and sets the agenda for its meetings”.
Szijjarto also condemned the recent act of burning the Qur’an near the Turkish embassy in Stockholm. Hungarian Foreign Minister stressed that such actions cannot be justified by freedom of expression.
