Negotiations with Xi Jinping
Peskov said Putin will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday.

He noted that the first part of the meeting between the two leaders will be open to the public, and then the meeting will continue behind closed doors. Peskov said Putin and Xi Jinping plan to discuss bilateral Russia-China relations.
“As you know, there is a rapid growth in trade volume. But of course, the exchange of views on the gravest regional issues will be crucial. There are those who are closer to us, to Russia, there are those who are closer to China,” he said.
Peskov added that the heads of state will discuss these issues in the spirit of strategic partnership.
