Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that the Russian Federation plans to propose new dates for the meeting of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) commission to the United States after a while. It has been reported TASS.

Ryabkov said it would take time to propose new dates for the New START meeting.

“We’re going to present new dates to the Americans in a while, but it won’t happen all at once. <…> It looks like there will be some kind of pause after what happened,” the diplomat stressed.

He added that it is unlikely that the advisory commission meeting will take place before the end of the year.

“It’s still early to talk about how and when we will make these new proposals, and what timeframe we will ultimately focus on,” Ryabkov said.
