Poland plans to build 200km electronic barrier on Russian border 17:05

Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski and his deputy Maciej Wonsik said the Polish authorities have found a contractor to build an electronic barrier to the Russian border, which will be 200 km long and cost $75 million. TASS.

According to Kaminski, Polish authorities have selected a company from the Greater Poland Voivodeship, which will begin the construction of an electronic fence on the Polish-Russian border this year.

According to him, modern vehicles for border guards will be available in the second half of next year.

The Minister noted that 3,000 day and night cameras, night vision devices and motion sensors will be placed on the Russian border. According to him, such decisions will make it possible to quickly detect the threat.

Vonsik said the cost of the project is 350 million zloty ($75 million) for 200 km of the border.
