Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Friday that he expects to receive the first tranche of a new financial aid package from the EU in January 2023, during a meeting with Valdis Dombrovskis, First Vice-President of the European Commission, in Kiev. It has been reported TASS.
The Office of the President of Ukraine emphasized that Zelensky thanked the EC for presenting a new large-scale financial assistance program of 18 billion euros for 2023, and expressed the expectation that Ukraine could receive the first tranche in January.
The publication includes a plan by Zelensky and Dombrovsky for the restoration of housing and social infrastructure facilities on the territory of Ukraine, as well as the participation of the European Commission in the launch of the country’s reconstruction fund, as well as the EU’s sanctions policy against Russia.
