I went to my children’s class groups in mid-August, and realized that I missed everything again: I was late for the joint atlas purchase, I didn’t have time to register my daughter in my favorite circle, it didn’t happen’ Don’t register anywhere, I didn’t vote somewhere. Whether it will still be in September.
September is the busiest month. The number of situations in the form of “fill”, “sign”, “order”, “buy”, “bring”, “warn”, “accept”, “accept” will fill the entire living space. There will be no life left. No, doing everything at once, in one day, will not work ahead of time, all these requests will be poured out one by one every day. And each time everything will be urgently needed – “yesterday”.
It is understandable why this is so. At least for me, she is a person who is not only a mother of schoolchildren, but also a teacher. I know very well why teachers cannot pre-write which atlases will be required: they must correspond to certain textbooks, and what if the textbooks come in a completely different program – we can easily do this. I understand why it is impossible to fill out an application in advance for extension, travel cards, student tickets: what if the certificate package requirements change – this is also in order. I also know what confusion is going on in the field of supplementary education: groups are taken into circles all September, then places are closed already in June.
To fight him? But how? This bureaucracy, there seems to be no one behind all this, just a series of impersonal orders. How to defeat this abstract evil?
If you can’t win, maybe you can adapt? But it would be something to fit in. As a responsible parent, you strictly write an extension application at the right time and then it turns out that there will be no extension. Either because it is impossible to combine teams due to covid restrictions and there is only one teacher ratio, or because the school is overcrowded, it actually works in two shifts and there is no room for maintenance.
As a responsible parent, you make a card to pay for school meals, fill them on time, or collect all food certificates if assistance is provided, but the child still cannot have human lunch because there are 15 minutes for everything. everything and the two-mile window is in the delivery queue. Damn, then make a window a day in each class’s schedule so the kids go to the cafeteria at this hour! But no, it is impossible again, because it is not clear who will be on duty in this dining room and on the floors at that time, to maintain order: after all, you cannot leave the children unattended, and the teachers have all the hours. was planned.
Other parents will be surprised. What is it like to take care of children? For what? We have normal kids! It’s normal, but if during recess he breaks his leg because he wants to climb the stairs, then the acrobat’s parents will demand an answer by first raising the whole school to their ears – who overlooked it. And teachers will write a bunch of explanatory notes, fill out dozens of protocols, and commit to spending another five hours of extreme sports in the school hallways.
And somewhere in between all these exciting activities, teachers will think that they can at least find some time to be with the children, or how interesting it will be for them to compete with the slalom in the stairwells. And it’s not because it’s scary that there are some sanctions (they will anyway), but kids are still no strangers and you don’t want them crippled. Yes, and parents are different, you can not be wrong, they will also come up with some kind of initiative, maybe someone will offer to install video cameras on the school site at their own expense.
It is clear that this will not change much, it is clear that the issue is in the system. No matter how many holes teachers try to dig here and there, no global problem will be solved if individual parents offer all possible help, no matter how rationally they suggest.
Because the schools are very inadequate and the schools are overcrowded, problems arise. Likewise, there are not enough teachers and there are those who are depressed. And every day, a million stupid bid-orders come down to schools to organize events that have nothing to do with school at all. And teachers who are already hardworking have to either prove to management that they don’t have to do this, or, be it, spend time doing something official and preparing a quick report without regaining consciousness. And the government, which cannot (or does not want) to create conditions for the normal work of children and the work of teachers, always initiates some kind of control. Here are the problems of education. Here’s what you need to decide. At least that’s what’s worth talking about, no – shouting.
But don’t shout, don’t shout, we also know that nothing happens to the system. Yes, and it would be strange if it were otherwise. Crying is a sign of desperation. The system is incomprehensible that some husbands are a tyrant (currently – an abuser). System akimbo gets up and barks: leave if you don’t like it. And there are many who actually leave (because how possible). Parents take their children to family education or private schools. Teachers resigned and started teaching. But the majority, let’s be honest, don’t have the resources to strike. So we must somehow negotiate, arrange, sigh and not patch other people’s holes.
But there is more. It’s truly an incredible thing. There are those who complicate the already heavily overloaded mechanism with unnecessary details, aggravate everything, while some try to at least somewhat soften it, at least somehow hide the flaws of the educational system. And based on the best intentions, what to say from a pure heart, so to speak. There are people who create an amazing but strange activity. They seem curious, but their enthusiasm makes you want to shoot yourself. Moreover, these people are on both sides of school education.
These are teachers who consider their subject to be the most important and even the only one, showering children and parents with endless educational videos, very interesting tests and links to simulators, inventing very creative tasks, if not exaggerated. The family, along with grandparents, urgently called for help, weaving a strand of DNA from beads by two a.m. Sunday. These are the parents who need the classroom to attend at least four outings in September, go to the theater twice, and participate in interactive activities organized by them in the school gym. The ideas of such “dedicated” teachers and yazhe-mothers from Yazheotsam disrupt school-parent conversations with hundreds of messages. And there is no rest from them. It seems that such teachers have neither family, nor friends, nor hobbies, and their parents have no jobs.
This is their energy and it will be in a completely different direction. And what, they would unite and for example build a new school in the area. Yes, with any song they want.
Of course I’m not serious. No one should be asked to do what anyone else should do. And of course, it is not possible to remove the responsibility of solving problems in the field of education from the state. It’s just to everyone’s detriment. But there’s no need to complicate life when it’s already so hard. And so the eye twitches. And you think so: rather October, holidays.
