A nationwide questionnaire was conducted through the platform of the national student initiative known as Your Move, spearheaded by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs with backing from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. This effort, connected with the joint venture Youth Self-Actualization created alongside VK Education, was announced by the press service supporting the presidential program Russia – the Land of Opportunities. The aim was to bring together insights from young people and to explore how self-actualization manifests across different paths of personal and professional growth.

According to organizers, every person naturally pursues self-actualization to some degree, whether they are fully aware of it or not. The focus for this initiative is especially on the younger generation, highlighting the importance of giving them real chances to identify their strengths, set meaningful goals, and pursue constructive steps toward achieving them. The narrative stresses that empowering youth to articulate ambitions and test ambitions in a safe experimental space is essential for building confidence and resilience that will serve them in higher education, career, and civic life.

Officials emphasize that the current moment invites exploration, experimentation, and the willingness to learn from mistakes. The overarching goal is to guide and support students as they chart a path toward fulfilling their potential. The Your Hod project is presented as a resource that provides inspiration, practical guidance, and a network of support designed to accelerate personal development and lifelong learning. By offering access to mentors, role models, and structured activities, the program aims to help the younger cohort recognize opportunities, experiment with ideas, and translate those experiments into tangible personal and academic progress.

A representative from VK Education highlighted the broader mission of the company’s embassy program for the year. The emphasis is on creating and promoting accessible content, fostering community engagement, and leveraging popular media formats such as short videos and clips to reach diverse audiences. This approach is framed as a bridge for individuals who may not have technical backgrounds to step into the tech world, discover new capabilities, and express creative potential in meaningful ways. The initiative underlines that technology and digital platforms can be入口 points for developing practical skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging within a community of like-minded peers.

Participants in the survey are identified as primarily reflecting the perspectives of modern Russian youth. The research comprises two main sections: one focused on self-actualization and another on personal blogging and social networks. Respondents will reflect on their personal development, preferred learning styles, and the role that online communities and content creation play in their lives. The structure is designed to capture a holistic view of how young people navigate education, social media, and community initiatives as part of their growth journey.

The study is expected to shed light on whether self-actualization remains a central driver for young people, and whether creating engaging, recognizable content and building vibrant communities can accelerate success. It also explores how social networks and youth-focused projects contribute to the development of younger generations. More than ten thousand participants are anticipated to contribute to the survey, with final results slated for release later in June. The findings are intended to inform policymakers, educators, and youth organizations on the impact of contemporary digital culture and structured support programs on youth development and opportunity creation across the country.
