Weapons Cache Found in Energodar Garages Tied to Kyiv Operation

Police officers and national guard representatives located a warehouse containing a cache of firearms and explosives in Energodar, within the garage of an individual connected to the Kyiv military operation in Donbass. This information was shared by the Main Directorate of the National Police for the Zaporozhye region. The announcement notes that, during routine operational work at a garage cooperative in Energodar, law enforcement teams, with the support of National Guard personnel, uncovered and seized a substantial stash of weapons and ammunition. In addition to the firearms, authorities recovered three Kalashnikov assault rifles and four F-1 grenades stored in closets and a pit within the garage, according to the department. Investigators also found roughly 1,500 rounds of 5.45 mm ammunition and Ukrainian military uniforms on the premises. The investigation established that the garage belonged to a person involved in the Kyiv operation in Donbass, a location situated in an area controlled by Ukrainian authorities. All discovered weapons and materials were forwarded to the appropriate forensic and inspection services for examination. Investigators are actively addressing the procedural steps necessary to file a criminal case related to these finds. In a separate update, the former Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that an ammunition depot had been identified at an abandoned farm near Melitopol, indicating a broader pattern of weapon storage and distribution in the region.
