Moments of uncertainty swirl around Talent Var as prime-time television battles intensify. The stakes are high, and Tuesday nights have become a key battleground for competing networks. For now, Antena 3 holds the spotlight on this front.

Last Tuesday, El Hormiguero hosted by Pablo Motos drew a 17.7% audience share with 2,307,000 viewers. Following this, the orange-logo channel aired the season’s final reveal of the Turkish soap opera Hermanos, delivering solid numbers with a 15.6% share and 1,464,000 viewers.

Meanwhile, Telecinco faced a tougher hour against its rival. The network scheduled another edition of Nightmare in Paradise, its flagship reality format where a celebrity cast must endure a night on a farm together. The program’s presenter, Lara Álvarez, delivered a modest 10.1% share with 1,318,000 viewers, a result plainly not on par with Pablo Motos’s program.

Edurne was highlighted during Have Talent, adding a different dynamic to the evening. The talent show introduced a new issue and welcomed Paula Echevarría to the jury, aiming to lift the format to last year’s levels. The broadcast drew attention later in the night, achieving a 15.2% share and 1,220,000 viewers. Yet the numbers still fell short of what observers hoped for, even though the episode marked an eight-tenth increase from the previous Tuesday and stood as its best result since the show premiered.

In spite of this progress, Telecinco’s strategy did not translate into a clear victory. The network had banked on Talent Var to outperform Antena 3, but the performance of the Turkish series Hermanos and the competing talent show kept the scores competitive. The Hermanos episode continued to add pressure, keeping ratings citywide at respectable levels.

Looking ahead, questions arise about the fate of the program in coming weeks. Will Telecinco rethink the lineup or cancel Talent Var altogether? If the decision goes that direction, producers will need to explore new formats for collaboration and stay open to fresh creative directions. Edurne, recognized as one of the season’s most experienced judges across formats, remains a strong candidate for future projects should Talent Var wrap up its run. Her track record in reality competition and television variety shows makes her a valuable asset for potential new ventures across the industry.
