A bold collaboration brings together a Futurist-inspired restaurant in St. Petersburg, Afisha, and the Praktika theater to create a food art project that fuses theatrical performance with culinary ingenuity. The initiative was announced by Afisha’s press team and marks a cross-disciplinary journey into performance-driven cuisine.

Travelers and locals can anticipate a guided exploration of the new artistic language that sits at the crossroads of contemporary texts, music, design, architecture, multimedia, and acting. The project describes itself as a tour guided by Afisha through the Praktika theater’s current repertoire, inviting audiences to experience a shared moment where gastronomy and stagecraft illuminate each other.

Leading this culinary venture is a futurist restaurateur and chef who crafted the gastronomy collection called “Flavor Practice.” The creative concept draws on the theater’s diverse repertoire, translating dramatic themes into edible expressions and edible stories.

The centerpiece, the “Flavor App” collection, presents a sequence of dishes that each pay homage to a particular theatrical work. The course lineup includes Far Eastern scallops accompanied by romesco sauce and tapioca pickles, salmon ceviche with avocado and red pepper sauce, crab cakes paired with fried lettuce and sake-based sauce, stewed beef neck with mashed potatoes and kimchi sprouts, and a white kanash chocolate dessert enhanced with raspberries, wild berries, and tarragon. Each plate is designed to echo the mood, pacing, and symbolism of its associated performance.

Every meal in the set is dedicated to one of the productions featured by the theater, creating a cohesive experience that blends stage narratives with culinary craft. The authorial culinary set will be featured on the Futurist restaurant menu for a specified window, inviting diners to savor a curated moment of taste aligned with dramatic storytelling.

Concurrently, the performances that underpin the project will be accessible for viewing at the Levashovsky bakery site, with a scheduled run that spans several days. This arrangement invites audiences to connect the lines between a live act and its edible interpretation, crafting a shared cultural experience that extends beyond the dining room and onto the stage.
