This Marbella police operation targeted a local venue in San Pedro Alcántara described as a club where drug activity reportedly took place. Two men were detained during the raid, with one facing additional charges under the Administration of Justice and public health statutes. A court in Ibiza issued the search, arrest, and appearance warrants that supported the operation, which also involved the seizure of around two thousand six hundred euros. Various drugs and weighing and processing tools were recovered, as outlined in a statement from Marbella City Hall.
The incident occurred last week after a civilian unit had previously observed signs of illegal activity and confirmed the pattern of conduct. An individual arrived at the door with a stimulant, and after identifying themselves as police officers, officers entered the premises to conduct a thorough search of the club. Behind the bar, investigators discovered numerous glass jars and plastic bags containing cannabis plant material, marijuana buds, and other cannabis products, all classified by type. This discovery prompted a broader inspection of the club’s interiors and operations, revealing signs of ongoing drug distribution and consumption.
The audit extended beyond the initial findings. It uncovered several additional items linked to drug manufacture and distribution, including more than one cigarette containing marijuana derivatives, nine packaging machines, a bag containing cocaine, and mushrooms. Investigators also found two precision scales, a hydraulic press, and various tools used to process and package substances. The total weight of cannabis seized in the business exceeded one kilogram, while cannabis products weighed an additional 311 grams. Cocaine was measured at 9.6 grams, cigarettes around 40 grams, and mushrooms more than 33 grams.
Detained individuals were both described as British nationals aged 35 and 29. They did not cooperate with officers, instead denying ownership of the club. The first suspect, born in Rochford and residing in Mijas, faced a pending search, arrest, and subpoena issued by the Ibiza Review Court No. The search also located a total of 2,100 euros, with more than 500 euros reportedly carried by the two individuals at the time of the arrest. City authorities emphasize that the ongoing investigation will determine the full extent of the operation and the potential connections to other illicit networks listed in the Ibiza court documentation. The case has drawn local attention to enforcement efforts aimed at disrupting illegal drug commerce within the municipality and surrounding areas. Authorities remind residents that such operations rely on information from the public and coordinated action between municipal police, regional authorities, and judicial oversight to maintain safety and order in the community.
