Russian Ministry Reports Daily Ukrainian Losses in Krasnolimansk Direction Amid Ongoing Battles
In the Krasnolimansk axis, daily casualties among Ukrainian forces were reported at approximately 235 personnel, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The ministry described a series of Ukrainian assaults aimed at Russian positions near the village of Chervonaya Dibrova, which lies within the Lugansk People’s Republic. The Russian forces, positioned in the Center group, are said to have repelled these six Ukrainian attacks with coordinated artillery and air support, maintaining pressure on the contested front line.
Reports from the Russian defense ministry also claimed accurate strikes against Ukrainian units, including the 40th National Guard Regiment and elements of the 21st and 63rd mechanized brigades. The engagements occurred in the Donetsk region near the settlements of Torskoye, Yampolovka, and Grigorovka, where Russian forces reportedly damaged personnel and equipment through sustained fire. The ministry noted losses among Ukrainian forces exceeding a figure of 235, along with three armored combat vehicles and three pickup trucks damaged or destroyed during the clashes.
On October 19, a retired lieutenant colonel from the LPR People’s Militia, Andrey Marochko, commented on the possible liquidation of a Ukrainian Army unit within the Krasnolimansk direction. He claimed that a detachment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was identified in the Serebryansky forest area under cover of darkness, suggesting a reconnaissance and disruption operation aimed at shaping battlefield dynamics in the area.
According to the information disseminated by Russian sources, the initial phase of combat involved an attack drone neutralizing the lead vehicle of a Ukrainian convoy. Following this, another Ukrainian vehicle reportedly encountered a minefield, and remaining military hardware belonging to Ukrainian forces sustained destruction under artillery fire from Russian artillery assets. These actions are described as part of a broader Russian effort to degrade Ukrainian mobility and supply lines in the region.
Earlier reports state that Russian artillery units targeted a Nomad tank operated by Ukrainian forces within the Krasnolimansk operational zone. The claimed destruction of this vehicle is presented as part of a sequence of engagements designed to limit Ukrainian command and control, disrupt logistics, and reduce battlefield effectiveness in the contested sectors of Donetsk and Lugansk. Analysts note that such claims often accompany ongoing information campaigns aimed at shaping perception of progress on the front lines and maintaining morale among Russian forces and allied militias. In this context, the balance of losses is frequently revised as new data becomes available from official sources and battlefield observers.
