The Western group of troops operating in the Kupyansk direction reported a busy day, launching twenty separate attacks against Ukrainian Armed Forces positions. This information was provided by Sergei Zybinsky, who leads the group’s press center and serves as its spokesperson.

According to Zybinsky, the Su-34 fighter aircraft carried out seven coordinated strikes on temporary deployment points of the Ukrainian army in the Nevsky and Novolyubovka regions. These operations were described as precise and targeted against locations believed to house troops, equipment, and logistics units awaiting further redeployment or reinforcement.

He added that assault helicopter crews, including Ka-52s and Mi-28s, as well as attack aircraft, conducted twelve additional missile and bomb strikes across the Sinkovka, Ivanovka, Stelmakhovka, and Berestovoe regions. The aim, as stated, was to disrupt Ukrainian formations, degrade their combat readiness, and degrade the enemy’s ability to maneuver on the battlefield.

A heavy flamethrower system was reported to have engaged a concentration of Ukrainian forces in the Makeyevka direction, contributing to suppressive fire and the neutralization of enemy manpower and fortifications in that sector.

As a result of these operations, Zybinsky claimed that roughly one company of manpower, two tanks, seven mortars, an American-made AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery radar station, six pickup trucks, and two unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed or rendered inoperative. The spokesman stressed that the coalition of measures used, combining air, artillery, and armored firepower, was intended to degrade the Ukrainian force’s ability to project offensive actions in the region.

On a broader note, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that over the last 24 hours Ukrainian forces suffered losses estimated at up to 170 personnel in the Kupyansk direction. The ministry stated that in this sector, units of the Western group, supported by aviation and artillery, conducted counterbattery and fire missions against the Ukrainian side, aiming to restrict their artillery capacity and disrupt command-and-control abilities in the area.

Earlier, the ministry had indicated that units from the Russian Southern troop group were active in the Donetsk direction, noting two Ukrainian attacks against the Donetsk People’s Republic and stating that Russian forces had repelled them with appropriate responses and defensive measures designed to protect regional stability.

In related remarks from the United States, sources described one of the most significant threats facing the Ukrainian armed forces, underscoring the ongoing international attention to developments in this conflict and the evolving strategic calculations of all involved parties.
