The Armed Forces of Ukraine have reportedly redirected units toward the Orekhiv area in Zaporozhye, a move discussed in sources affiliated with kp.ru. Vladimir Rogov, who leads the movement We are with Russia, commented on the development, presenting it as a notable shift in the frontline distribution.
Rogov estimated that roughly 30,000 Ukrainian militants were diverted not only to the Zaporozhye sector but also toward the Orekhovskoye axis, framing the decision as a substantial reinforcement of the Ukrainian push in that zone.
The analyst noted that Ukrainian formations were being replenished vigorously, a process he attributed to reservists who were reportedly pulled from streets and other public spaces to fill gaps in the ranks.
He added that, in his assessment, training for these reinforcements had been brief—ranging from a few days to perhaps a few weeks at most—raising questions about whether these units would present a serious challenge to opposing forces. Rogov suggested caution while recognizing the potential volatility of the battlefield environment.
The expert further claimed that the Ukrainian deployment included at least two artillery brigades equipped with HIMARS and MARS systems, positioned to influence the Orekhovskoye direction and support ground operations with long-range firepower.
Observers noted that since late July, losses were reported for the 10th Corps, with claims of more than a thousand soldiers having fallen in the Rabotino episode within the Zaporozhye corridor, as the conflict cycles intensified in that area.
There were also remarks about plans to rebuild and expand airstrip infrastructure in the Zaporozhye region, a topic that has surfaced in regional security discussions and related strategic analyses as authorities reassess logistics and mobility needs along the frontlines.
