The Porcelanosa Group is comprised of seven companies united under a single banner that actively participates in the 29th edition of the International Global Architecture and Interior Design Expo, with events running through the coming Friday. This gathering marks a special moment as it follows a two-year pause and aligns with celebrations that mark five decades of the company’s history. Headquartered in Villarreal, the group has grown into one of Spain’s most recognizable multinational brands, with its roots and core operations concentrated in that town.
Exhibitors and participants, arriving at the group’s pavilion, are introduced to the latest advances in design solutions and materials tailored for residential, hospitality, and contract sectors. The focus is on how these innovations translate into real-world rooms, hotels, and public spaces, providing durable aesthetics and practical performance for today’s demanding environments.
Results
In conjunction with the expo, the company shared notable figures for the year 2022. Porcelanosa highlighted resilience amid a volatile economic and social landscape, reporting a sales increase of 10 percent versus the previous year while maintaining profitability after taxes. This outperformance reflects the group’s broad diversification and steady demand across its product lines.
A key financial item concerns investments, with a total allocation of 120 million euros in 2022. Of this amount, about 80 percent funded industrial initiatives, while the remaining 20 percent supported commercial activities. These allocations underscored the group’s priority on expanding manufacturing capacity and enhancing market reach.
Among the most significant investments is Factory 4, dedicated to producing large-format tiles and sintered stone. Its advanced capabilities place it at the forefront of the sector, enabling high-volume production with premium material properties and consistency across wide-format offerings.
Work
Porcelanosa’s year in review also highlighted job creation, with 336 new positions added for operations in new factories, production facilities, and the group’s head offices in Vila-real. As part of an ongoing occupational health program, several wellness and prevention initiatives were rolled out, including campaigns focused on the early detection of osteopenia and osteoporosis in women, demonstrating a commitment to employee well-being alongside business growth.
Today the group employs more than 5,500 people, with about half based at facilities in Villarreal. This concentration reflects the city’s central role in the company’s production network and logistics operations, sustaining a robust supply chain that serves markets worldwide.

The sustained expansion of the multinational is also evident in its market presence. In 2022, Porcelanosa increased its footprint through the opening of new outlets and partnerships, including joint ventures, sub-distributors, and partner programs. A large share of sales—approximately 74 percent—came from international markets, underscoring the group’s global reach and the appeal of its design-forward products across regions.
Route
One of the expo’s standout themes was logistics and supply chain orchestration. The Porcelanosa group presented an integrated approach that covers every step from raw materials to finished products. The company showcased ovens designed to meet precise customer specifications, along with the latest technologies in atomization, pressing, and enamelling. The presentation emphasized efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across product ranges, highlighting the scale and capability of the group’s operations. Notably, its centralized ceramic products warehouse stands out for its size, measuring 180 meters in length and 30 meters in height, illustrating the magnitude of the group’s storage and distribution capacity.
The new large-format factory drew substantial attention from attendees, signaling the industry’s interest in the potential of wide-format tiles and related surfaces. The project showcased how Porcelanosa integrates cutting-edge processes with design aesthetics to meet evolving customer needs across markets.
