PONS IP unveils S, a global consulting firm focused on industrial and intellectual property. The new ALSP line—Alternative Legal Service Provider—delivers a 100% online platform designed to automate trademark registrations in Spain and the European Union. This milestone marks a pioneering move in Spain’s legal sector, reinforcing the company’s leadership in developing technology-driven solutions for managing intangible assets end-to-end.

Single WB opens the door for individuals and small to mid-sized enterprises worldwide to file trademarks completely online in Spain and across the EU. To empower user independence, SINGULAR TM provides an in-house search engine that assesses brand feasibility in real time and includes a transparent price calculator that reveals the total cost of the filing upfront. The streamlined online process enables users who don’t need a customized trademark strategy to complete filings quickly, securely, and at a competitive price.

The platform will receive formal approval and ongoing support from PONS IP. This enables the company to route more complex needs to consulting and other specialized services that cannot yet be automated due to their depth. Through this initiative, PONS IP broadens its service portfolio to serve entrepreneurs and small businesses anywhere in the world who require autonomous, online execution of administrative tasks. In parallel, PONS IP has expanded its legaltech offerings since 2021, with ALARM, an online brand surveillance tool, and SAFE EVIDENCE, a blockchain-based platform for protecting, depositing, and signing a wide range of documents using qualified timestamps.

SINGULAR TM represents PONS IP’s response to the ever-growing digital ecosystem surrounding brand management and IP strategy.

The launch comes amid a global push toward digital transformation and a shift in how legal services are consumed. Individuals and businesses now expect fast, affordable solutions for industrial and intellectual property needs. This trend is reflected in the Spanish market data: over the past decade, trademark filings handled through traditional channels show a steady decline in the share managed by Industrial Property Representatives, dropping from 43% in 2011 to 30% in 2021 among a total of 51,585 registrations, according to the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office. At the same time, the acceleration of the ALSP market is clear. A recent Thomson Reuters report confirms steady growth in key markets like the United States, where a large majority of law firms now incorporate ALSP offerings. Approximately seven in ten companies report frequent use of ALSP services in North America, and the study highlights that one in five organizations plan to adopt ALSP tools for managing intangible assets in the next five years. These indicators underscore a durable shift toward cost-efficient, technology-enabled legal support for IP portfolios.

Nuria Marco, CEO of PONS IP, assessed the strategic importance of Single WB within the firm’s broader digital transformation. She noted that Singular TM will extend high-quality IP management to a broad client base of global entrepreneurs and small businesses who need to handle administrative tasks without external guidance. The technology already proves its value by automating repetitive, low-value work, allowing experts to concentrate on high-impact, value-added advisory and strategic consulting. This approach is expected to enhance competitiveness while maintaining strong service quality. [Source: Company interview]
