Nightmare in the Kitchen: La Taberna Danka Episode

laSexta airs the new episode of Nightmare in the Kitchen tonight at 22:30. This second installment follows Alberto Chicote as he travels south of Madrid to the Asturias inspired eatery that claims to offer the best cachopo in Fuenlabrada, La Taberna Danka.

The owners, a Romanian couple named Dani and Anka, dream of transplanting a slice of Asturias to the southern outskirts of Madrid. Yet their partnership is not smooth, and daily life in the kitchen is a constant test. The two face mounting stress as they navigate the challenges of running a small business together, with Anka often taking a firm lead that clashes with Dani’s tendency to buckle under pressure.

With only a few months of operation behind them, the couple rely on Alberto Chicote to help rescue a venture Dani has funded from her own savings. After a string of failed business attempts, this project represents a critical chance to stabilize hopes rather than watch another dream fade. On screen, the restaurant presents a warm exterior, but the interior is marred by loud conversations and food that fails to entice repeat visits, making the customer experience inconsistent at best.

In La Taberna Danka, Dani and Anka are joined by Abdel, the restaurant’s chef, and his assistant David. Anka enforces a demanding workflow that leaves the kitchen staff feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about timing and execution. The resulting tension spills over into the dining room, where meals often arrive late or misordered, triggering raised voices, emotional outbursts, and a palpable sense of despair among the team as the service unfolds.
