Civil Guard officers detained five youths aged 15 to 17 in Dolores following an alleged group assault. They are accused of raping a 15-year-old boy while he was intoxicated, according to sources familiar with the case. The detainees were handed over to the Alicante Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday, where prosecutors requested that all of them remain in a secure, closed facility. A subsequent decision by the Alicante 2nd Juvenile Court ordered continued custody, and the suspects were moved to detention centers in the provinces of Alicante, Valencia, and Castellón.
Following their arrest, the suspects claimed they did not coerce the minor. Some also asserted that the sexual relations were consensual, based on information from the same sources. It was noted that one of the individuals involved had a mobile phone registration that appeared to document the events.
The arrest of the five alleged perpetrators was carried out by officers from the Civil Guard in Alicante, with support from the Emume unit, the Juvenile Women’s Team. The victim was reportedly located at a police facility in Dolores. The incident was reported on November 10, and Emume investigators quickly took charge of the case, gathering data to identify the perpetrators and assess the circumstances surrounding the proposal and execution of the assault.

Sources close to the investigation indicated that several detainees knew the victim and that the alleged group assault occurred in a field near Dolores. The victim, a young person, was described as having been exposed to drug use and alcohol. While some detainees claimed the sexual act was consensual, investigators emphasized that the involvement of a 15-year-old child constitutes a crime under the law, as individuals under the age of 16 cannot give legal consent to sexual activity. The current charges reflect sexual assault, and those detained are facing formal proceedings in a juvenile court.
Once the five alleged participants were identified, Emume investigators proceeded with arrests and brought the suspects before the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office. The Juvenile Court ordered that they be held in a closed regime given the seriousness of the allegations and the impact on the teen involved.
This new group assault case follows a separate investigation of another incident in nearby Crevillent, where eight young men were arrested after allegedly assaulting a 13-year-old girl on five consecutive days.
