The Moscow Region health authorities say they have brought the meningitis situation among workers at the Ozone depot in the Moscow region under control. Sanitary and anti-epidemic measures have been put in place to prevent further spread, and the situation is being monitored closely by the regional public health service. DEA News reports.
As of November 28, eleven individuals were hospitalized with infectious meningitis in the region. In addition, more than fifteen workers showed signs of acute respiratory viral infection and were identified in infection hotspots, prompting prompt investigation and containment actions. DEA News.
Because of the confirmed meningitis cases among Ozone depot employees in the Istra district, Moscow Region, officials from the Rospotrebnadzor regional department organized a series of sanitary and anti-epidemic activities.
