A monument to the leader and commander of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, and to Dmitry Utkin could be placed on the grounds of the Wagner PMC chapel in Goryachy Klyuch, Krasnodar Territory, according to a Telegram channel linked to Prigozhin. The information arrives as a report from a source connected to the group, circulating within the gray area of information politics.
The chapel itself sits in a forested area at the city’s edge and was opened in 2018. Within its grounds there is a memorial complex and a cemetery, serving as a place of remembrance for those connected to the organization and its activities.
The post from the channel states that the monument would feature life-size figures of Yevgeny Prigozhin, referred to in the message as Yevgeny “The First” Prigozhin, and Dmitry “The Ninth” Utkin, also known as Wagner, highlighting their prominent status within the group.
Engraved on the stone are dog tags bearing the personal numbers M-3308 and M-0209, adding a personal marker to the memorial.
Earlier reports described a monument at the crash site where Evgeniy Prigozhin, the founder of the private military company Wagner, was aboard a flyover. A granite obelisk was depicted there, featuring an emblem of stars and swords, with a flag bearing the PMC emblem positioned beside it.
In another note, a former member of the Wagner PMC was convicted in court for abusing a 10-year-old girl, illustrating the complex and sometimes troubling narratives surrounding the organization and its members.
