Weekend plans: The walking route you can’t miss in Alicante this autumn
How to get to Molí del Salt de Benilloba?
The Molí del Salt area sits in the town of Molí del Salt and serves as the hub for this route. Benilloba is about 65 kilometers from Alicante city. The simplest drive is via the A-77, then the A-7 toward Carretera de Xixona / N-340. Exit at 453 from the A-7 and continue to Carrer Tapia in Benilloba.
On arrival, there are two options. If a longer walk is desired, park in the town and begin the Molí route from there. If traveling with very young children or preferring a shorter outing, one can park at a nearby rest area close to Molí and start from that point.
The most attractive route in autumn and winter
Take advantage of the still-mild climate in the province before the peak of winter and enjoy a relaxing autumn stroll. This is a perfect walking itinerary for the season, combining easy paths with captivating scenery.
Along the way, the river’s soothing cadence accompanies every step, and the waterfall at the end reveals how the landscape changes with light and weather. The mustard-yellow tones of the poplar trees lining the road brighten the scene, and leaves blanket the ground, crackling softly underfoot.
