The regional office of the ministry reported that the Ministry of Emergencies evacuated roughly 50 residents from Ussuriysk as a precautionary measure. The update was shared through a regional telegram channel.
Rising water levels were observed in the Rakovka and Razdolnaya rivers as the situation unfolded in Ussuriysk, according to the same agency. Officials from the Ministry of Emergencies and the Ministry of Internal Affairs warned residents to be prepared for possible evacuations along the Rakovka River as waters continued to advance.
According to the report, emergency crews had already moved 46 people out for preventive reasons, with 16 of them temporarily housed in a dormitory at Bluchera 36, part of the PGSHA facility. The rest were staying with relatives as officials pressed forward with evacuation plans and ongoing monitoring of the flood risk.
The authorities stressed that the remaining residents should consider alternative shelter arrangements and obey street-level advisories issued by emergency workers. The emphasis remained on rapid response, safeguarding lives, and ensuring displaced families have access to basic needs during the ongoing weather disruption. Compounding the challenge, the LAN typhoon has reached Primorsky Krai. Vladivostok, the regional capital, has experienced continuous heavy rainfall for a second consecutive day, with a large portion of the month’s precipitation already recorded by August 25. Local agencies are coordinating flood response efforts, damage assessments, and shelter provisions for those affected, while maintaining updates for the public. Officials noted that measures are being taken to prevent further harm as storm conditions persist. Separately, the Ussuriysk Prosecutor’s Office has initiated a review related to the handling of flood relief for victims to ensure timely assistance and accountability.
