MAPFRE and MENSAJEROSAD, a division of Mensajeros de la Paz specializing in home assistance and other resources for the elderly and their dependents, have announced a cooperation aimed at improving care for Spain’s senior population. The agreement was signed by Father Ángel, president of Mensajeros de la Paz, and José Manuel Inchausti, MAPFRE vice president and Iberia CEO.

The arrangement envisions creating a single access point for members of Club MAPFRE Expert, with MENSAJEROSAD taking part. Through this unified channel, members and their families can access all services designed for elderly people from one convenient place.

MAPFRE clients will benefit from a streamlined first assessment that looks at each elder’s needs in a holistic and predictive way. Depending on the individual situation, it will be possible to determine the type of need or level of dependency and to identify suitable solutions for every scenario.

The deal also includes perks such as free home delivery of medications, access to volunteer assistance, and the Golden Telephone service, which helps alleviate loneliness among older adults.

Special discounts will be offered to Club MAPFRE members for MENSAJEROSAD services, covering housing, professional home assistance, daycare and neurorehabilitation centers, telecare, pet care, social banking, co-care and additional options for elderly relatives or dependents.

Services provided by Club MAPFRE experts for MAPFRE’s senior client groups, including Yo Me Ocupo, Fiscal/Jurídico, and Médico, can be requested through this one-stop shop. The portal will also provide information about deals with major brands relevant to this demographic.

Access to digital health services

Thanks to the agreement, anyone receiving home care services for seniors from MENSAJEROSAD and the broader portfolio can use digital health services with unlimited access at no extra cost. These services include medical chat, video consultations, symptom assessment, and electronic prescriptions, all available 24/7.

Additionally, users will receive a 10% discount on in-person tests, consultations, and treatments at more than 1,300 MAPFRE digital health centers across Spain.

Reference asset for repairs and reforms

The agreement also designates MULTIMAP, MAPFRE Group’s home repair and renovation unit, as the reference provider for MENSAJEROSAD users when home improvements are needed. MULTIMAP offers a full range of services to support aging in place, including bathroom conversions for showers, widening doorways for wheelchair access, and the installation of ramps.

MENSAJEROSAD stands as the first social enterprise in Spain with an ecosystem that integrates services and comprehensive care for adults, the elderly, and those facing loneliness or addiction. Since 2022 it has managed 104 residences and operates day centers and homes nationwide, reaching more than 1,000 seniors directly and supporting over 11,000 indirect beneficiaries.

MAPFRE serves more than seven million customers and employs over 11,000 people across around 3,000 offices in Spain, making it a leading reference in the insurance market. The company is recognized for its leadership across auto, home, and corporate lines, among others, and continues to advise customers on broad financial and protection needs.

Mensajeros de la Paz is a social development organization founded by Father Ángel. It partners with communities to support disadvantaged groups through a wide array of projects. Today, the organization operates more than 50 initiatives in Spain and maintains a presence in 76 countries.
