A court in Vila Joiosa (Alicante) is handling the case of a 28-year-old man who was abducted and driven to a rural property where he was forcibly undressed, and sexually explicit photographs were taken. The alleged perpetrator is a local resident, around 40 years old, who was having an extramarital affair with the victim’s wife. The incident reportedly occurred after the husband discovered the infidelity and reacted with violence.

The victim disclosed the events weeks later at the Civil Guard headquarters in La Vila Joiosa, describing a menacing encounter during which the assailant threatened him with an ax. The survivor sought help for psychological treatment and pressed formal charges. The person under investigation was arrested following the complaint, but was released by the court to await further proceedings, while he invoked his right not to testify. Charges include sexual assault, threats, and degrading treatment. A private prosecutor, Lawyer Francisco González, represents the victim in court.

The alleged events unfolded last March in La Vila Joiosa, when the husband of the woman involved in the previous year’s affair confronted the situation after being contacted by his wife. The man reportedly threatened to kill him and summoned him to meet in person to clarify matters. Upon arriving at a secluded cottage, the victim claims the suspect brandished an ax and compelled him to undress. The husband photographed the victim with his phone as part of the intimidation. The frightened man reportedly cried as the events unfolded.

The assailant allegedly waved a woodcutter’s ax, forced admissions about the infidelity, and threatened violence if any falsehoods were spoken, asserting that both phones were tapped. He allegedly taunted the victim about his appearance and then compelled him to remove all clothing. Some photographs were taken with the victim’s own device. The assailant reportedly stated, “It’s a memory,” before taking a photo of the threatened man with his phone. The victim was then driven back to the town center. At one point, during a moment of shock, the assailant pulled out a wad of cash and warned, “If you hadn’t come, I would have paid for this to break your legs.”

The story did not end there. Two days later, the suspect allegedly called the victim again, insisting on a reentry to the cottage where the same pattern reportedly repeated. After using the victim’s phone, the assailant reportedly said, “Do you want to see the gun in my hand? I’ll be done soon.” He once again forced the victim to undress and allegedly simulated oral acts, while the victim, back in the car, feared for his safety and even warned that he had a knife and could slit the assailant’s throat.

In the days that followed, the victim received several calls from the person under investigation and was warned that the attacker would “show him affection” if they met. Fearing further threats, the victim deleted most photos and threatening messages from his phone. The Civil Guard’s Judicial Police Brigade in Vila Joiosa conducted a search of the suspect’s country house and found furniture matching the items seen in the photographs provided. They also recovered the ax involved in the alleged threats, reinforcing the ongoing investigation. These developments are cited in official statements from authorities involved in the case, as reported by local law enforcement sources (Source: Civil Guard, La Vila Joiosa).
