Starting this Tuesday, five companies from the region will participate in a fresh edition of the Lineapelle London event, a pivotal grouped fair that marks one of the first milestones on the international calendar. The showcase gives participants a dedicated platform to unveil their latest items for the 2025 spring–summer cycle. The initiative is coordinated by the Spanish Association of Footwear Component Companies (AEC), with backing from ICEX Spain Exports and Investments, aiming to spotlight Spanish innovation within a broader European and global context.
Lineapelle London takes place at the Ham Yard hotel in London, drawing together leading European makers across leather, textiles, synthetics, and an array of accessories and components for footwear and leather goods. The mood of the event is distinctly forward-looking, offering attendees a chance to preview avant-garde collections in a setting that blends luxury with a touch of street-style energy. For British designers and stylists, the fair serves as a curated environment to explore seasonal directions and material possibilities in a compact, high-impact format.
Across the participating group, 43 companies are represented, with a geographic distribution that highlights the strength of Italian manufacturers, followed by participants from France, Spain, and a smaller contingent from China. The showcased mix emphasizes tanning, leather goods components, fabrics, and synthetics, reflecting the breadth of the supply chain that supports contemporary footwear and accessories design. This concentration of products underscores the event’s role as a convergence point for quality materials and creative concepting.
The venue choice—a hotel setting—creates an exclusive atmosphere that naturally limits exhibitor quotas. Organizers curate the lineup with care, prioritizing brands that deliver distinctive, high-quality collections. The result is a focused environment where buyers and decision-makers can engage deeply with a curated range of offerings, rather than navigating a sprawling, diffuse fair floor.
The most recent edition, held in July 2023, drew approximately 360 visitors, with interest concentrated among leading British brands, styling houses, and couture consultancies seeking inventive solutions and adaptable production options. The attendance pattern highlighted the appetite in the market for materials and components that enable design teams to differentiate themselves through both texture and performance.
Under the Footwear Components From Spain banner, nine Spanish firms specializing in accessories, tanning, and fabrics will participate, presenting a preview of spring–summer 2025 collections that will later be showcased at additional international fairs. The Spanish pavilion emphasizes a cohesive narrative, positioning Spain as a hub of material and accessory excellence within the global lineup. In this group, delegates include several companies based in Spain’s well-known design hubs, contributing diverse perspectives and capabilities to the event’s overall offering.
Among the participating Spanish exhibitors, three are headquartered in Elche, four in Barcelona, one in Petrer, and one in Villena, reflecting a regional spread that mirrors Spain’s strong production clusters. The presence of these firms reinforces the country’s reputation for high-quality leather, tanning, and accessory production while demonstrating a robust pipeline of new designs for the upcoming season. The fair thus functions as a strategic bridge, connecting regional capabilities with international buyers and designers seeking fresh material solutions.
