“sound kids” launched its new edition on Antenna 3, but an omission drew immediate attention from viewers. The young talents, already shining as leaders in their first faceoff against Got Talent: All-Stars, had reached the blind pick stage. The night highlighted a conspicuous absence: David Bisbal was missing, and Pablo López stepped in to take his place.
At the start of the episode, Bisbal sent a message through aytana. After his teammates expressed surprise at his absence, the Málaga native appeared on set and explained, “For the first time I missed the start of La Voz Kids, but I asked for help from a wonderful friend. Without a doubt, he has always shared a strong bond with me, and he is an amazing guy.”
“I’m here because Bisbal asked me to replace him, and I see it as a gesture of complete trust. Being invited to La Voz Kids is a gift, so I am grateful to David,” Pablo López stated. Aitana, another judge on the panel, added, “We weren’t amused at first because we thought we had lost again, but we love Pablo, and I hold him in my heart.”
To clarify why the artist from Almería was absent in this first installment of La Voz Kids, health reasons were cited. Vertele had reported a few weeks earlier that Bisbal was grappling with a medical issue at the start of the recordings, a hurdle that would prevent his presence on the opening day.
Given the recording schedule could not be changed due to the demanding production space, the production company remained committed to the planned format and turned to one of the show’s producers, Pablo López. The season had already featured familiar faces with new twists, including variations of the program and several guest appearances from Pol Calvo.
Replacing David Bisbal, López selected the top two talents for his team in the opening round of La Voz Kids: Rubén Franco and Andriy Golovnyuk. The decision underscored the show’s emphasis on immediate chemistry between a mentor and a dynamic roster, aiming to maintain the competition’s momentum while Bisbal recuperates. In the midst of the live dynamic, López’s leadership style and Aitana’s supportive stance illustrated how the panel navigates unexpected changes while preserving the show’s spirit and pace.
