Francisco Jose Rivera Pantoja, known as Kiko Rivera, remained steady and calm after the health event, according to his wife, Irene Rosales. At the Virgen del Rocío hospital in Seville, she described how he ate dinner normally and stayed seated in his bed so reporters gathered outside could observe from the public path, and some captured footage with their cameras.

Isabel Pantoja’s son was admitted to a hospital after suffering a stroke the previous morning at his home in the nearby town of Castilleja de la Cuesta. When his wife visited him late in the afternoon, he chose to eat dinner while seated on his bed so that journalists could document the moment from the street, with several cameras recording the scene.

Earlier that night, he reported feeling unwell with severe headaches. After initial treatment at the local health center, he was urgently referred to the Sevilla hospital, which operates a dedicated unit for this type of paralysis and related care.

Irene Rosales spoke to reporters outside the hospital, saying she was not advised to have more visitors than herself at that time. “To avoid nervousness, we are trying to limit the number of people who see him so that blood pressure does not rise”, she explained.

His mother confirmed that singer Isabel Pantoja called on Friday to inquire about his condition and health status during her visit. “I told him he couldn’t go in, but this is his son and he has the right to be there. I know Kiko will be there for him”, she noted, though current arrangements restrict visits to a single person at scheduled times under supervision.

The medical team indicated that his condition will remain monitored for at least 72 hours from admission. The Sevilla hospital’s first-floor ward, located about 12 kilometers from his home, plays a crucial role in providing timely assessment and ongoing urgent care in these scenarios.

Rivera, 38, has a medical history including uric acid issues and type 1 diabetes, necessitating regular insulin management. While there is no prior record of stroke in his medical history, the current episode requires careful observation and comprehensive treatment planning to address potential complications and support recovery.
