Income Campaign Update for Alicante: Regional Deductions in the Valencia Community

Alicante residents are seeing a faster pace in the processing of income statements this year, with a noticeable rise in returns issued by the Tax Office. The latest government balance, released at the start of the year, shows a clear movement in favor of quicker tax settlements and a push for in-person assistance through authorized institutions for those who still prefer hands-on help preparing their forms.

The campaign has moved ahead, with 525,000 notifications issued across the Province of Alicante, marking an 8.68% uptick from the same period last year. Alicante thus leads the Valencian Community in filing activity, ahead of Valencia at 7.83% and Castellón at 6.81% for the same timeframe.

The rise in returns has brought notable satisfaction to many taxpayers. In these two months, the Tax Office has already disbursed funds to Alicante residents, totaling 292,111 returns, an 11.31% increase from last year, with as many as 78% of those requesting it receiving payment in this period.

Here Comes the Income Campaign: These are the regional deductions you can apply in the Community of Valencia.

This activity has translated into tangible money in residents’ accounts. In Alicante, the total returns reached 167 million euros, a 13.61% rise compared with the previous campaign. The average refund in the province stands around 571 euros, underscoring how a large number of households are benefiting from the process.

Face-to-face attention

The Tax Office has initiated its in-person outreach for the year, offering taxpayers the opportunity to seek help directly. It remains necessary to request an appointment through various Tax Office committees and other authorized offices that issue declarations. Appointments are allocated progressively, meaning not every available slot is released at once. This staggered opening helps manage demand, though it can mean several days pass before a new window appears. A precautionary note is in place because excessive no-shows have occurred when demand spikes above 25 percent in some slots.

In practice, taxpayers are reminded that they can still opt for a later visit if all current slots are filled. As with many public services, persistence pays off: check back over the next few days when fresh appointment windows are opened.

In the same vein, residents should know that the tax agency offers the option to complete and receive notifications online, through a mobile app, or by phone under the agency’s assistance program. This flexibility helps many people manage their returns without needing to visit an office in person.

Given the scale of the program, the treasury expects substantial disbursements to Alicante residents as the campaign continues. Though momentary gaps in appointment availability can occur, repeated attempts often register new time slots as demand evolves. The overall trend remains positive, with more households in Alicante seeing timely refunds and greater efficiency in processing returns across the province.

Taxpayers should stay informed about regional deductions applicable in the Valencia Community, including credits and benefits that maximize refunds where eligible, and rely on official channels for status updates and guidance on documentation requirements. The ongoing effort aims to streamline the experience, reduce wait times, and ensure eligible residents receive the support they need in a timely manner.

Whether choosing to engage in person or manage the process remotely, Alicante residents are encouraged to monitor notices promptly, verify appointment availability, and utilize the digital tools provided by the Tax Office to stay aligned with the campaign’s progress.
