A young man was admitted to Cruces hospital last Wednesday morning with injuries described as character wounds following an attack in Doña Casilda Park. According to the Basque Government’s Department of Security, a group of five individuals assaulted him, leaving him seriously injured. The incident prompted an immediate response from emergency services and law enforcement as they moved to understand what happened and who was involved.
The assault occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 4:30 am, at Doña Casilda Park. Multiple aggressors attacked the young man, who was found unconscious on the ground with extensive injuries. Local witnesses reported the scene in real time, and the events quickly drew the attention of those nearby who alerted authorities. The seriousness of the injuries required urgent medical evaluation at the scene before the victim could be transported to hospital care.

Vehicle Theft

Ángel Madrazo, a member of the Citizens’ Safety and Civil Protection Council, confirmed that local police arrested a man and a woman who had smashed windows to access possessions in at least five parked cars in the Rontegi neighborhood. The incident was reported as the officers were patrolling the area, following a call from a witness about vehicles being broken into near parking facilities close to Rontegi water tanks.
According to the officers, the quick response led to the suspect being found in a compromised position inside one of the damaged vehicles, with several items recovered that suggested illegal origin. Documents belonging to another damaged vehicle were also located during the subsequent search. Investigators collected a variety of items believed to be connected to the offenses, including black gloves, two flashlights, a flathead screwdriver, a hydraulic jack, a pair of boots, a container of dashboard cleaner, a bottle of anti fog liquid, a bottle of vanilla air freshener, a bottle of scratch removal cream, a roll of paper tape, five cleaning cloths, and a parking ticket tied to one of the damaged vehicles.
