Hertz has announced a strategic relocation of its Alicante office, moving to a site adjacent to the Avenida de la Estación, near the ADIF Alicante train station. This move is designed to streamline joint mobility and elevate customer comfort and convenience for travelers reaching the station and planning road-based itineraries.

The expansion forms part of a broader, ambitious investment plan across Spain. It includes opening new locations at major train stations in Gijón and Santiago de Compostela, and relocating several existing offices from cities such as Algeciras, Burgos, Córdoba, Girona, León, Valladolid and Zaragoza to the corresponding railway hubs. The plan also renews a tender to maintain operations at train stations in Cádiz, Granada, Jaén, Madrid Atocha, and Salamanca, reinforcing Hertz’s station-centric footprint.

Through this strategy, Hertz strengthens its presence in Spain’s key urban centers with high demand for car rental, while integrating sustainable mobility solutions into its offering. The company highlights a commitment to expanding electric vehicle (EV) rental as a core element of its service model, aligning with a broader vision for greener travel options across its network.

Javier Díaz Laviada, chief executive officer of Hertz Spain, emphasizes that the ongoing expansion and refurbishments reinforce Hertz’s long-standing promise to deliver top-tier service and a compelling car rental portfolio. He notes that the approach mirrors the company’s historical growth in Spain, where the first office was established decades ago, underscoring a continued dedication to customers and local mobility needs.

The investment plan also brings new job opportunities associated with the expanded train-station offices. It complements recent hiring activity undertaken during the summer to bolster the workforce for the peak travel period and ensure the delivery of excellent service to customers across the country.

Across its national network, Hertz operates a broad fleet of cars and vans equipped with up-to-date technology and safety features. The rental options are designed to suit diverse customer needs, offering vehicles from compact passenger cars to larger family and freight vans. The fleet includes models powered by electric, hybrid, and internal combustion engines, representing the latest generation of mobility solutions available to renters today.

Hertz Corporation, the parent company of Hertz Global Holdings, Inc., oversees the Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty brands across North America, Europe, the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. As one of the world’s leading rental brands, Hertz also operates the Flexicar car-sharing service in Australia and New Zealand, alongside Firefly, Ace Rental Cars, and Hertz 24/7 branches. This breadth of operations places Hertz among the most recognized names in global mobility, with a continued focus on convenient, connected, and sustainable travel options. [citation attributed]
