Gastronomic Weeks Across Alicante: Menjars de la Terra Brings Regional Flavors to Life

A group of five restaurants will represent the regions l’Alcoià, El Comtat and Foia de Castalla at the Menjars de la Terra, an event held from March 20 to 24. The gastronomy days are among the most popular in the country. The selected venues are Lolo in Alcoy, La Viscaya in Castalla, Nou Raspa in Cocentaina, RQR in Ibi, and Racó del Seta in Balones. The event is returning this year as Terra Managers with a refreshed format. Backed by the Provincial General Assembly, the conferences will travel through the province during distinct gastronomy weeks, Monday through Friday, featuring a different restaurant each day. The first week ran from October 24 to 28, highlighting the Upper and Middle Vinalopó zones with the participation of Alfonso Mira of Aspe, La Sirena of Petrer, Xiri of Monóvar, Alfonso of Pinoso, and La Despensa of Villena. Later, l’Alacantí took the spotlight for another two weeks, with Alicante restaurants such as Maestral, El Sorell, El Capricho de Raquel, La Ereta, Dársena, and Racó del Pla. Mauro in San Vicente, Mesón Ino in Mutxamel, La Peña and Santa in El Campello, and Luzia in Sant Joan also contributed to the gastronomic display within the provincial capital. The following region, Baix Vinalopó, featured La Masía de Chencho, Cachito and Selecte, Casa Tomás in Crevillent, and El Faro in Santa Pola, illustrating the region’s diversity and culinary richness.
